Customer Reviews

"We've been meaning to try Mountain View Station for sometime. Finally made it in today and were not disappointed. My steak quesadilla special was the juiciest steak I've probably ever had. My partner had the Greek salad, chili and fries. The salad was the smaller version and could have easily fed three. The chili had a delicious smoke flavor and surprising (good) chickpeas. The fries are thick cut bordering on steak fries, also delicious. Our server was new (their own admission) but completely on the ball despite being the only server. The atmosphere was perfect, an old train station with lots of character and memorabilia, but not in the dusty, gross way. The floors are worn from years of travelers, and if I have to guess, future diners will do the same. Check out this gem."

"A wonderful treat of a place, especially if you are passing through to leaf peep, or like down-to-earth holes-in-the-wall, old train stations, wooden floors, service with a smile, sports on the TV (though not a sports bar), local beer, and wooden floors. Lots of great games scattered around, and comfortable seats too. The outside is unassuming, but the inside is nice and cozy. Good poutine and French Onion Gratin soup (home-style cooking). The girlfriend and I enjoyed ourselves. Would come again."

"Checked the box for a burger on the way home from hiking. Decent food but not anything to wow you or write home about. Train themed decor with a mix of NH. The one server seemed a bit stretched and it took some time to order and pay the bill. Overall 3/5 probably won't be back."

"We drove past here on our snowmobiles and saw everyone walking in. I wish I walked in with them then. We finally went to check it out and we were blown away. This will be one of our new go to's. The staff was great and the food was delicious. A hidden gem for sure."

"Stopped in while out on a Saturday outing, what a wonderful setting inside the old Ossipee Depot, lots of old memorabilia, Keisha took great care of us, huge portions, delicious burgers and onion rings. Funny thing, we've driven past for years, always busy, always packed parking lot, now we know why! Highly recommend!"

"This place is straight from the 1800s! The food is excellent and hardy. The only place around were you can get fried Oysters which are well made. Great crust. The Clam Chowder is the best around and the Fish and Chips is next to perfect. Service is always great and friendly. Highly recommend the experience."
